Position: Junior Architect

About the Role
Join Nico van der Meulen Architects as a Junior Architect and become part of a team working on exceptional high-end residential projects. This is a role for a motivated, detail-oriented architect with a strong design foundation who enjoys solving technical challenges and wants to continue developing within a collaborative architectural studio.
You will contribute across multiple stages of the design and construction process, working closely with senior architects and directors. From concept development and presentations to Revit documentation, site coordination, material research, and council submissions, you will gain valuable exposure to the many elements that bring a project from an initial idea to a completed home.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in developing architectural concepts, diagrams, design presentations, and visual material for client meetings.
- Support senior architects in researching materials, architectural details, precedents, and design solutions.
- Prepare sketches, mood boards, concept documents, and other presentation material that help communicate design intent.
- Produce accurate Revit drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details.
- Assist with detailed drawing packages for council submissions, tender documentation, and construction sets.
- Update drawings based on markups, project revisions, and ongoing design development.
- Help maintain drawing standards, templates, file organisation, and accurate project information.
