Schmidhauser Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Construction Department in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance, repairs, site upkeep, and preventative maintenance planning across various construction and project sites. This role ensures that all infrastructure, building systems, and installed services remain fully operational, compliant, and maintained to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee general maintenance across construction sites
Manage preventative maintenance schedules
Conduct site inspections and snag reporting
Coordinate subcontractors and maintenance teams
Monitor health and safety compliance on site
Attend to building defects and repairs
Maintain accurate job reports and maintenance records
Liaise with project managers and site supervisors
Monitor tools, equipment, and site infrastructure
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in construction or site maintenance management
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Valid Driver's License
Ability to manage teams on multiple sites
Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations
